Dortmund's logistics portal: a dortmund-project initiative
The dortmund-project is an initiative to promote the new Dortmund as a location for industry. Since 2000, it has been pooling expertise from the city council, industry and scientific institutes into a single unique network, with widespread acceptance. Its aim is to promote the long-term development of the city into a leading location for technology and industry in Europe. It is distinguished by its methodical approach: to act quickly, invest, set up self-financing systems and concentrate topics and processes.
The project, parts of which are funded with EU subsidies, focuses on the future industries of IT, logistics, micro/nanotechnology and biomedicine, as well as the healthcare market and energy management. The dortmund-project is a division of the Economic Development Agency of Dortmund.
